Thanks Gregers. Tried looking but could only find guide to the wioring loom from the back doors to the B-pillar. Couldn't see anything specific on this loom. Please can you help me by pointing out which of the FAQ's applies. Before posting I spent a couple of hours searching the forum for a guide without any joy.

Thanks

I would also be interested in a reply to this question, although my wires haven't broken the rubber boot has split and I can see that a number of the wires have cracked insulation.

Although "Gregers" link is useful it doen't cover the tailgate wiring loom.

I bought a new rubber boot, a metre of multicore "SY" cable and a lot of heatshrink.

Cut all the cables in the pillar. Cut all the cables in the tailgate.

Thread the SY through the join.

Solder each individual wire and cover with heatshrink.

The SY cable is extra flexible cable meant for process machines. Most electrical wholesalers will sell it.

I also threaded a bit of string through the join so I can pull something through in the future - like the reversing radar wires that I forgot about :-(
